2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Candidates / Job Seekers: English name, Chinese name (optional), email address, phone number, WeChat ID (optional), LinkedIn profile URL, city and state/province, relocation preference, current job title, job function, years of experience, current and expected salary range, English and Mandarin proficiency levels, work authorization status, visa sponsorship needs, job search status, and resume URL. You also provide explicit consent flags when joining the Talent Network.
- Job Applicants: Full name, email address, phone number, work authorization status, years of experience, resume URL, cover note (which may include your LinkedIn URL and sponsorship needs), and your consent preferences regarding joining our Talent Network.
- Employers: Company name, contact name, business email address, phone number, company website, industry, and job posting details when you register an employer account or post a job.
- Account Credentials: Email address and password when you create an Employer Hub account. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing via our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Inquiries: Any information you voluntarily submit through contact or inquiry forms, including headhunting service requests.
2.1a Sensitive Personal Information
The following categories of information we collect are considered sensitive personal information under California law: work authorization status (e.g., visa type, citizenship), immigration sponsorship needs, and salary data (current and expected compensation). We collect this information solely to facilitate job matching and placement services and do not use it for any other purpose.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Pages visited, job listings viewed, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and navigation paths.
- Device and Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use session cookies required for authentication and site functionality. See Section 7 for details.
3. How We Use Your Information

- With Employers — Job Applications: When you submit a job application, your name, email address, phone number, work authorization status, years of experience, resume URL, and cover note are automatically shared with the employer who posted the job via email notification. By submitting an application you consent to this sharing.
- With Employers — Talent Network: When you join the Talent Network or consent to being added to it during a job application (consent_pool), your profile may be surfaced to prospective employers seeking candidates with your background. Only your professional profile data is shared; your salary expectations and WeChat ID are used for internal matching purposes only and are not shared with employers without your explicit consent.
- With Candidates (Employers only): Your company name, job posting details, and the contact information you provide in your job listing are visible to job seekers on the platform. Your email address is also used to receive new applicant notification emails.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers that help us operate the platform, including:
- Supabase (database and authentication hosting)
- Vercel (website hosting and deployment)
- Resend (transactional email delivery)
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of nacjob.com, our users, or the public.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

- Employer accounts: retained for the duration of the account and for a reasonable period after closure for legal and audit purposes.
- Usage logs (e.g., page view data): retained for up to 12 months.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
nacjob.com uses the following types of cookies:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for user authentication (Employer Hub login sessions) and core site functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking site features.
- Analytics / Performance: We collect anonymized usage data (page views, job detail views) to understand platform usage and improve the service. This data is stored internally and is not shared with third-party advertising networks.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may configure your browser to block or delete cookies; however, certain features of the site (such as employer login) may not function correctly without cookies enabled.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access.
